Private Consultation Orem, UT

Our Private Consultation program is $600 and comes with three sessions, each lasting 2-3 hours, and these sessions are spaced about 4 weeks apart from each other.  This program also includes a day of drop off training.  If any additional training sessions are needed after the initial three sessions, we offer additional sessions for $100 per session. You do also have the option to include additional dogs with this training program for $50 per each additional dog (must have the same owner). This program is only for dogs with little to no behavior issues.

If your dog has mild to moderate behavior issues (anxiety, fear, aggression, etc), they will need to go through our Problem Solving Private Consultation, which is $800 for us to work with your dog at our training center in Orem.  This program comes with four private training sessions. The first session of this package is an owner teaching session, where we spend 2-3 hours with you going over training handouts, give you homework to work on with your dog between the 1st and second sessions, and teaching you as much information as we can. You are welcome to bring your dog with you to the first session, but no training will be done with them in that session. The second session takes place 1-2 weeks after the first and is about 2 hours long, you will bring your dog with you to this session as well as to the 3rd and 4th sessions. The 3rd session will be spaced about 4 weeks apart from the 2nd, and the 4th will be scheduled 4 weeks apart from the 3rd, both of these sessions will be 1 – 2 hours long. This package also includes a free day of drop off training. Additional dogs can be added for $50 (must have the same owner).  We heavily use the TBTE method of dog training in this training package, which is one of the best methods we have found to help with behavior/perception modification.

Because each dog is different, each session is different and accommodated to what your dog needs in order to learn and succeed. When working with a dog, we always look at the dog as a whole, rather than just focusing on one specific issue (barking, potty training, etc). We combine the use of food, proper motivation, and positive reinforcement with proper structure, leadership, proper nutrition, and the right training tools that work best for your dog to create an all around healthy, structured, happy life for all of the dogs (and their owners) that we work with.

Below is a list of what we will work on with you and your dog during our training sessions:

Zeta practicing the “place” command

  • We will teach you dog psychology and pack mentality to help you understand how to communicate with your dog better, and how to read their body language better
  • We will master the walk with your dog, teaching them to walk by your side with a loose leash
  • We will teach you the importance of proper nutrition for your dog, and how proper nutrition is necessary for your dog to be healthy both mentally and physically.
  • We will give you a structured, fun, reasonable training schedule for your dog to follow.
  • We will talk about the importance of crate training and how it can be extremely beneficial to creating a calmer, happier dog.
  • Master sit, down, and stay (with distance and distractions)
  • We will teach you many different ways to correct your dog properly, when needed
  • We can teach your dog to walk on the treadmill (if you have one)
  • We will work on any minor behavior problems (chewing, digging, barking, potty training, etc)
  • We can teach up to two fun tricks (roll over, play dead, etc)

If you would like to teach your dog something, and we didn’t mention it above, please let us know.  We are very willing to be flexible for you during our training sessions to make sure you and your dog learn everything you need in order to have a happy and balanced dog.

Daddy giving Zoey a soft muzzle correction, similar to how we use the Halti (see description below)

One of my favorite training tools is the Halti. When used properly, it has a natural correction that other dogs do to each other, which makes a lot of sense to dogs when they’re trained to the Halti. Daddy is doing that exact correction to Zoey in the picture above. This picture is the perfect example of a dog correcting another dog by gently biting their mouth until they relax, which is exactly what we do with the Halti.
