Fully Trained Puppy Camp Orem, UT
Are you looking for a fully trained dog without the hassle of raising a puppy? Then this is the perfect program for you! This very in depth program has two different training stages that your puppy will complete before they have graduated from the program. The first stage is done with your puppy between the ages of 8 weeks to 6 months. At some point during that age period, your puppy will come and stay with us for 4 weeks in our training center while we train them to the first half of this program. We will work on the following in the first half of this program:
-
We will teach your puppy proper house manners and social manners.
-
We will teach your puppy bite inhibition.
-
We will start your puppy on potty training, however their success at home will require work and consistency on your end. Every puppy is different, some puppies can take much more time and consistency than others.
-
We will use your puppy’s food in combination with positive reinforcement, as well as any other training tools that work best for your dog, to create a fun, healthy level of focus and motivation.
-
We will teach your puppy a “leave it” command, which will be very useful while they are teething.
-
We will teach your puppy a “place” command (which is similar to the “stay” command).
-
We will use a pack of balanced dogs to help your puppy develop proper social skills, helping to prevent any aggression/nervousness issues with other dogs in the future.
-
We will take your puppy as many places as we can to socialize them around people, helping to prevent any aggression/nervousness issues with people in the future.
-
We will do our best keep you updated on your dogs progress with videos, pictures, and descriptions through our Facebook page.
-
We will teach you the importance of proper nutrition for your dog and help you put them on a proper feeding schedule.
-
We will give you a very straight forward schedule for your puppy to follow after they return home, to help keep them on the right track as they get older.
-
We will teach you about dog psychology and pack mentality to help you understand how to communicate with your dog better, and how to read their body language.
-
We will teach your new puppy how to walk by your side with a loose leash.
-
We will teach them sit, down, and stay.
-
We will teach you many different ways to correct your puppy properly, when needed.
-
We will teach your puppy to walk on the treadmill (if you have one).
-
We will master their crate training, and teach you the importance of it.
After your puppy has completed stage 1 of this training program, they will return home with you until they are older and can move on to the second stage of the program. To complete the second stage, your puppy must be between the ages of 6 months to 12 months. During that age period your puppy will come back to us to complete stage 2. They will stay with us an additional time period, this time being a results based period of time. Your puppy may stay with us an additonal 6 weeks or longer based on them and how well they are doing with the training. Every dog is different and works at different paces, we don’t like to push them or rush the training, we want to get the job done right! So you will only pay a flat rate fee and your dog will then stay here until their training is complete, no matter how long it takes. This half of the training is much more intense advanced training using our amazing E-touch method of training. We will work on the following in the second half of this program:
-
We will teach your dog to be off-leash reliable, by your side at all times, even when there are distractions (people, other dogs) around, using the E-Collar.
-
We will teach you how to correctly use the e-collar to make sure that you are 100% confident working with your dog when we aren’t with you.
-
We will take the time to teach your dog to respond to the lowest level possible on the e-collar.
-
We will take the time to teach your dog exactly what is desired of them when they feel stimulation from the e-collar.
-
We will teach your dog a “place” command (which is similar to the “stay” command).
-
We will use a pack of balanced dogs to help teach your dog develop proper social behaviors so they do not become fearful or aggressive.
-
Your dog will be taken just about everywhere with us to ensure that they are well socialized with people and dogs of all sizes and ages. They will go to family activities (where there will always be at least 3 children, usually more), training classes, Petsmart, Petco, Home Depot (to work on their people socialization), and more!
-
We will continue to keep you updated on your dog’s progress with videos, pictures, and descriptions through our Facebook page.
-
We will give you a very straight forward schedule for your dog to follow after they return home, to help them bring everything they learned with us into your home.
-
We will master the walk with your dog, teaching them to walk by your side with a loose leash (it’s important that your dog knows how to walk with a loose leash, even though they will be off-leash reliable as well).
-
Master sit, down, and stay (with distance and distractions).
-
We will teach you many different ways to correct your dog properly using the E-Collar, when needed.
-
We will work on preventing any major behavior problems (aggression, nervousness, hyperactivity, and more).
While your dog is here, we will include them in a lot of socialization, pack walks, focus work, agility, treadmill training, obedience training, off leash training, distraction training, Pack to Basics ™ and more! This program will be accommodated to what you want your puppy to learn. We are very flexible with what we can teach your new canine friend, so please let us know exactly what you would like your dog to learn!
We work hard to make your puppy’s stay feel just like home, you’re more than welcome to bring your puppy’s favorite toys, blankets, beds, etc when you drop them off! You’ll also need to bring enough food to last the entirety of their stay with us.
